Художественный руководитель театра "Гоголь-центр" Кирилл Серебренников получил премию "Золотая маска" как лучший драматический режиссер за спектакль "Маленькие трагедии" по пьесам А.С. Пушкина "Моцарт и Сальери", "Скупой рыцарь", "Каменный гость", "Пир во время чумы", а также "Сцена из Фауста". Награды в номинации "Лучший балетный спектакль" удостоилась постановка Серебренникова "Нуреев" в Большом театре.
Зрители приветствовали решение жюри стоя, передает "Интерфакс". Серебренников, получая "Золотую маску" лучшему режиссеру, выразил надежду, что награду ему дали, потому что "действительно понравился спектакль".
Он также отметил, что в номинации было представлено много достойных режиссеров, и поблагодарил команду, "которая делала все без меня, теперь снова со мной". Серебренников также призвал театральное сообщество беречь "свободу художника в театре всеми силами, вопреки всему".

"У нас была потрясающая команда, они все гении. Огромную помощь оказал нам сам Руди. Мне кажется, он доволен тем, что происходило вокруг спектакля. Он любил хайп, любил, чтобы было весело.
