Всемирное антидопинговое агентство (WADA) подало апелляцию в Спортивный арбитражный суд (CAS) на решение Международной федерации бобслея и скелетона (IBSF) дисквалифицировать на два года российских бобслеистов Александра Зубкова, Александра Касьянова, Алексея Пушкарева и Ильвира Хузина за нарушение антидопинговых правил на Олимпиаде-2014 в Сочи.

"В CAS поступила апелляция от WADA к Международной федерации бобслея и скелетона и самим спортсменам. Также у нас уже находятся на рассмотрении апелляции четырех бобслеистов на решение IBSF. Даты слушаний пока не определены", - сообщили ТАСС в пресс-службе CAS.

16 января IBSF объявила о двухлетней дисквалификации Зубкова, Касьянова, Пушкарева и Хузина. Все четверо не согласились с наказанием, подав апелляции в CAS.

WADA, напротив, считает недостаточным двухлетнее наказание, вынесенное IBSF в отношении Зубкова, Касьянова, Пушкарева и Хузина.

Ранее дисциплинарная комиссия Международного олимпийского комитета (МОК) под руководством Дениса Освальда признала Зубкова, Алексея Воеводу, Касьянова, Пушкарева и Хузина виновными в нарушении антидопинговых правил, аннулировав их результаты в Сочи (золото в соревнованиях двоек и четверок) и запретив пожизненно участвовать в Олимпийских играх.

Позднее CAS заменил пожизненное отстранение от Олимпиад на пропуск Игр 2018 года.

Сочинские бобслеисты уже пытались оспорить обвинительный вердикт МОК в CAS, однако оказались в числе 11 спортсменов, которые не были оправданы после пересмотра дела. Еще 28 российских отечественных атлетов тогда были полностью оправданы трибуналом.
