Но пока этот опытный образец не способен биться как настоящее сердце. Ученые объясняют, как им удалось его разработать, в статье, опубликованной в понедельник, 15 апреля, в журнале Advanced Science", - говорится в публикации.
"Чтобы избежать риска отторжения организмом или необходимости иммуносупрессивного лечения, сердце было изготовлено с использованием жировых клеток, перепрограммированных в стволовые клетки сердечно-сосудистой мышцы. "При таком подходе жировая ткань берется у пациента, а клеточный и бесклеточный (бесклеточный, NDLR) материал преобразуется для формирования различных персонализированных био-чернил", - поясняют профессор Таль Двир и его соавторы.
"Предстоит пройти еще много этапов, прежде чем удастся собрать полноценное, бьющееся, большое сердце, которое можно было бы трансплантировать вместо ослабленного сердца, но израильское мини-сердце, по словам его создателей, уже сейчас может "позволить произвести тестирование лекарств на соответствующей анатомической структуре".
