Лучший бомбардир минувшего регулярного чемпионата Национальной хоккейной лиги (НХЛ) Никита Кучеров и трехкратный обладатель Кубка Стэнли Евгений Малкин получили вызовы в сборную России для участия в чемпионате мира, который пройдет в словацких Братиславе и Кошице с 10 по 26 мая.

Оба игрока были вызваны в сборную на следующий день после вылета их команд - "Тампы" и "Питтсбурга" - из розыгрыша Кубка Стэнли и пока не подтвердили свое участие в турнире.

Из российского легиона "Тампы" внимание тренерского штаба также привлекли голкипер Андрей Василевский и защитник Михаил Сергачев.

Отметим, что ранее Малкин в составе сборной России принял участие в семи чемпионатах мира и трех Олимпийских играх. Кучеров в свитере с двуглавым орлом сыграл на одном ЧМ и одном Кубке мира.

Василевский защищал главные ворота страны на чемпионатах мира 2014 и 2017 годов, а Сергачев во взрослую сборную РФ ранее не вызывался.

На первенстве планеты 2019 года сборная России сыграет в группе B с командами Швеции, Чехии, Швейцарии, Норвегии, Латвии, Австрии и Италии.
