Royal Wedding Theme Purim

I really really really want to do a royal wedding theme. I want my daughter to be Princess Kate and my toddler boy to be Prince William. Then I was going to have my husband and myself be Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice (hats only).
The problem is all I have so far is a size 4-6 victorian boys costume that needs a significant amount of tailoring (cue mother in law with sewing machine) to resemble the Prince at the wedding.
A "kallah" costume may be easy to find for my daughter... but does anyone have any ideas for the fascinators? At this point I want to just do cardboard cutouts glued to headbands but my husband didn't seem too excited. Alternatively he and I can wear red shirts and buy royal guard hats. Any suggestions?
Also... any bright ideas for shalach manos?

Any help will be apprecited.
