Правительство Великобритании постановило ввести требование к порносайтам о запрете доступа для граждан страны, не достигших 18-летнего возраста, с 15 июля. С этого момента такие сайты будут обязаны проверять возраст посетителей, а в случае выявления нарушений этого требования ресурсам грозит блокировка.
Как пишет The Verge, ограничение, введение которого уже несколько раз откладывалось, предусматривает разные варианты проверки пользователей. Подтвердить свой возраст при посещении того или иного порносайта они должны будут при помощи паспорта, водительского удостоверения или кредитной карты. Также для этого можно будет использовать специальный пропуск – купить его можно будет в обычных магазинах за 5 фунтов стерлингов при предъявлении документа.

В своих аргументах они отмечали, что найти контент для взрослых можно не только на порносайтах, но и в соцсетях. Кроме того, при помощи VPN-сервисов пользователи смогут скрыть свое положение и обойти запрет, касающийся посетителей сайтов из Великобритании. Наконец, введение запрета означает создание списка британцев, которые посещают порносайты: такой список наверняка станет предметом интереса хакеров. Этот риск повышает тот факт, что крупнейшими порносайтами (Pornhub, YouPorn, RedTube и др.) владеет компания MindGeek, которая и будет составлять такой список.
